Cash value or an experience?
An amount like £50 leaves the choice to the person receiving it. An experience such as dinner out, a trip to the cinema or a day of help in the garden feels more personal and often only costs time. Either works in the "Voucher for" field, the text is set large and easy to read.
What a voucher code is for
Private gifts don't need a code. If you run a club, café or small shop and hand out vouchers, a code lets you track which ones have already been redeemed. The generator creates a random code at the click of a button, which you note down together with the value.
Printing and giving it away
The DL format fits unfolded into a standard envelope. A5 and A4 work well for framing or as a card. Slightly thicker paper from around 160 gsm makes the voucher feel more substantial. In the print dialog, choose "Actual size" so nothing gets cut off.
Setting a validity date
An expiry date is optional. For private vouchers it's usually left out. If you issue vouchers commercially, check the legal rules in your own country before setting a date. The field stays empty if you don't fill it in.
