Year overview or monthly calendar?
The year overview shows all twelve months on a single sheet. It works well on a pinboard, for planning holidays and for checking at a glance which weekday a date falls on. The monthly calendar gives each month its own page with large boxes. There is room for appointments, birthdays or a cleaning rota, and once printed and hole-punched it fits into any binder.
How week numbers are counted
The calendar numbers weeks according to ISO 8601, the standard used across Europe. A week starts on Monday, and week 1 is the week that contains the first Thursday of the year. That is why the first days of January sometimes still belong to the last week of the previous year. If you choose Sunday as the first day, the week column shows the number of the week that the Monday in that row belongs to.
Printing it properly
The PDF is set up for A4. In the print dialog, choose “Actual size” or “100 %” so the margins stay even. For a large wall calendar on A3, select “Fit to page” when printing and the proportions stay the same. For a calendar you can flip through, print the monthly version double-sided and punch holes at the top.
