When Stamps and Overlays Are Needed
There are situations where a document needs to carry a visible notice before it is shared. A contract that is still in review carries a draft stamp. Internal documents are marked confidential. The difference between a stamp and a watermark is primarily visual: stamps typically appear as bordered elements at a specific location (often diagonal or in a corner), while watermarks are usually semi-transparent and span the entire page.
